We continue to work hard with all parties to clarify the rules about processing Horse Sport Ireland passports. Following consultation with Defra and HSI, we are still fine-tuning protocols for naming and transfers of ownership on these passports, but we have now done a small number of trial runs. There is a new naming form on our website. We will be able to update foal papers to a full passport, provided that there is DNA and a covering certificate (we can check the latter online). We are still clarifying some details with Horse Sport Ireland with regard to sport horse passports.
The costs will be:
- Change of ownership: £20 inc VAT
- Overstamping: £30 inc vat
- Naming a previously unnamed horse: £30 inc VAT.
Discounts: Any two of the above: £40 inc vat. All three of the above: £50 inc VAT. Full passports will be charged at the same rate as passports for our own horses, and the same rules apply regarding the need to be a member to register a purebred Irish Draught. A full list of fees will be published as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience. We will update you further when we have more information.
