The IDHS (GB) have launched an exciting new online Dressage Competition, kindly hosted by Dressage Anywhere. This is the first in our Winter Series of online Dressage Competitions and is open to all, both members and non members. Our only criteria is that the horse must be at least 25% Irish Draught and that they are either registered with one of the Irish Draught Stud Books, or that they are overstamped by the Irish Draught Society. Additional criteria relating to the rules of entry are available on the Dressage Anywhere Website, and you can enter here … https://www.dressageanywhere.com/Competitor/EnterCompetition/1166.
This is the perfect opportunity for some Winter Schooling, and feedback from qualified Judges. We will also feature the winners in an interview which will be posted on the IDHS website.
In our photo is Joanne Davies from Ceredigion in West Wales, with her beautiful mare Delfan Eadie Rain, bred by Richard Edwards. Joanne and Eadie have regular dressage lessons and are perfect examples of how the Irish Draught and the Irish Draught Part Bred can excel in the dressage arena. Eadie is by Bridgeford Ferryman, with her dam going back to Milestone Pride along with some excellent Thoroughbred lines. Her Great Grandsire was Madeni Welsh Comet, a very influential sire in the Welsh Cob World.
