Well everybody, the Schedule that you have all been waiting for is here! The 46th Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) Championship Show. The Show will take place at Onley Equestrian on the 6th and 7th September 2025. Entries open on the 1st April 2025 and will close at 23:59 on Monday 25th August 2025.
Whether you have a Purebred or a Part Bred Irish Draught, we have classes for everyone, and everyone is welcome. From in hand Young Stock classes, to in hand classes through the ages, to a vast array of Ridden classes including the £2000 Prize Winning Ridden Championship and the £1000 Prize Winning Ridden Amateur Class. There are Sidesaddle classes, Dressage Tests, and back for 2025 by popular demand we have resurrected the Working Equitation Classes (up to a maximum height of 75cm).
… and Brand new for 2025 we have an exciting new class designed specifically to show off the versatility of our fantastic girls, The Brood Mares, The Matriachs; The Ridden Mare Class.
We hope that you will all come and join us for this very special show, and that you enjoy the many qualifiers scattered throughout the UK in the lead up to it. The Irish Draught, The Irish Sports Horse and the Traditional Irish Horse are such fabulous breeds. Lulu won the Supreme Ridden Class at the 2011 Annual Breed Show. She also went on in subsequent years to win the Broodmare Class. She is a beautiful example of a true Irish Draught mare.
