Calling all stallion and mare owners who have a horse for inspection on 10 April 2024 at Onley Grounds Equestrian Centre:
The closing date for the 10 April 2024 inspection is 10 February 2024. Late applications will not be accepted. This is because we cannot confirm venue bookings and pay for flights without firm applications.
10 April is the only inspection opportunity for owners who want their stallions to be classified before the 2024 stud season. Our other combined stallion and mare inspection of the year is on 6 September 2024 (closing date 15 May).
The April 10 inspection is also an opportunity for Class 1, Supplementary Grade-Up and RID mares to undertake the athleticism assessment for a possible Bronze Merit Award. Several other mare inspection venues for grading and Hornby Premiums will be available around the country, from June through to early September, but there is only one other opportunity for mares to undertake the athleticism assessment.
The 10 April inspection is also good for mare owners who wish to have a mare graded so that she can be shown in hand in adult breeding classes this year.
