The wait is over! The schedule for our National Championship Show 2026 is now live and entries are open.
We have some exciting new classes added to the schedule for 2026. This year, we see the return of the Veteran Ridden class and we have also added an In hand Veteran class. As well as this there is a In hand Small Mare class which is open to Irish Draught & Irish Draught Part Bred Mares who are 4 years old and over and are 15.3hh or smaller!
This year we are also running the Mr Pip Performance Award which has been kindly offered by the owner of the late Greenhall Huntsman.
Every competitor entering the classes listed below will AUTOMATICALLY be included in the Pip Award. Competitors can enter as many of these classes as they wish, except the dressage which is a maximum of 2.
- Class 1 – Ridden ID 4-6 yr old
- Class 2 – Ridden ID 7 yr old +
- Class 3 – Ridden IDSH (part bred) 4 yr old+
- Class 7 – Male Maturity in hand
- Class 9 – Female Maturity in hand
- Dressage Class 14 – Intro 2, Class 15 Prelim 2, Class 16 – Novice 2 (You can do 2 tests max. Intro / Prelim or Prelim /Novice and your highest score will count toward the award)
- Class 17 – Ridden Working Horse
Points will be awarded to 6th place in the below format and a league table will identify the combination who wins the Mr Pip Award. The maximum points which can be awarded is 24. The Champion and Reserve will be notified by a member of the Show Team and asked to attend the Afternoon Gala on Saturday 5th September for prize giving.
BRAND NEW VENUE FOR 2026
Don’ for get that for 2026 we are moving to a new venue, Pickering Grange Equestrian Centre, Pickering Grange Farm, Ellistown, Terrance Road, Coalville, LE67 1EZ. We are also hosting a BBQ on the Saturday evening and tickets for this are available through the entry form.
